Dr Verma received his postgraduate medical education in internal medicine at
the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens , New York followed by
additional training in the subspecialty of diseases of the lung at the
Temple University Hospital, Temple University School of Medicine,
Philadelphia, Pa and respiratory intensive care training at the
Massachucetts General Hospital of the Harvard Medical School, Boston , Mass.
He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the
field of Internal Medicine, pulmonary (lung) diseases and critical care
medicine.
Additionally, he is board certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Verma has a Masters in Business Administration,in health care management
from the Bryant University, Rhode Island and has been the President of the
Rhode Island Medical Society. He has also been the Chairman of the Dept of
Medicine at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI from 1988-2003 where
he is presently the Chief of pulmonary, critical and sleep medicine and a
member of the board of trustees
Dr Verma is a long time medical columnist for The Call newspaper and medical
editor of WOON radio and is a fellow of the American College of Chest
physicians and fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
