The Senate is now dealing with the articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says there will be a vote to dismiss the impeachment with a simple majority. Senators will be sworn in as jurors today. Republicans who are demanding a trial plan to throw up procedural roadblocks to drag out the issue and highlight what they say is the Biden administration's mishandling of the southern border.    The President of Columbia University is testifying in front of Congress regarding antisemitism on campus. New York Republican Elise Stefanik said Columbia is not taking enough action against faculty members who spew anti-Israel rhetoric. Columbia President Minouche [[ min-oosh ]] Shafik said, although initially unprepared, the university has taken multiple steps following the swarm of protests in response to the October 7th attack on Israel.    Whistleblowers are accusing airplane manufacturer Boeing of covering up major safety and quality failures. Boeing quality engineer Sam Salehpour testified during a Senate hearing today, and warned Boeing's 787 Dreamliner is unsafe to fly due to assembly flaws. He told lawmakers he raised the issue with leadership for more than three years and was ignored.    Former President Trump is angry that his lawyers can veto a juror only ten times in his New York hush money trial. He posted: "I thought STRIKES were supposed to be 'unlimited' when we were picking our jury? Not nearly enough when we were purposely given the 2nd Worst Venue in the Country." The former President is accused of falsifying business records in order to cover up payments allegedly made to an adult film star just prior to the 2016 election.    Ford Motor Company is recalling over 456-thousand Bronco Sport and Maverick pickup trucks because of a power train issue. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the control modules for the vehicles may fail to detect a battery charge causing a loss of power. The recall covers Bronco Sports built between February of 2020 and March of this year.    The NBA is banning a Toronto Raptors player for violating the league's gambling rules. The league said an investigation found Jontay Porter disclosed confidential information to sports bettors and also limited his own participation in games for betting purposes. In one instance, a bettor associated with Porter placed an 80-thousand dollar bet on Porter underperforming in the Raptors' game on March 20th.
