It's day two of former President Trump's hush money criminal trial and prosecutors are asking the judge to hold him in contempt. New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg filed a motion arguing Trump violated a gag order with recent social media posts. Trump's legal team has said he was responding to media attacks from his ex-attorney Michael Cohen and adult film star Stormy Daniels.        The U.S. is preparing to slap new sanctions on Iran for its weekend drone and missile attack on Israel. In announcing the move today, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen did not provide many details. Yellen said her agency will work with U.S. allies to continue to disrupt Tehran's "malign and destabilizing activities."        The House is expected to send articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the Senate today. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is expected to move to quickly dismiss the charges. Republicans in the House impeached Mayorkas in February over his handling of the U.S.-Mexico border.        The nation's midsection is bracing for more severe thunderstorms. Forecasters say hail, damaging wind gusts and even a few tornadoes are possible as the storms continue to make their way across the Midwest. The storms will continue to move east throughout the rest of the week into Nashville, Tennessee and Ohio.        The Olympic flame is lit. The fire was ignited early this morning in Greece at the ancient birthplace of the Olympics. The ceremony starts a torch relay that will culminate in Paris for the Summer Games on July 26th.        Rapper Future and producer Metro Boomin are hitting the road. The duo announced their "We Trust You" tour will start July 30th in Kansas City and end on September 9th in Vancouver. The tour will make stops in Detroit, Atlanta, Houston and Seattle. Tickets go on sale on Friday.
